“Boundary Country Fishing ….one of BC’s best-kept secrets”

There are many side roads throughout the Boundary that will lead you to fishing and camping adventures. This area is known for its many streams and wilderness lakes. These lakes are best known for their rich supply of rainbow trout, which can be caught by bait, lure or fly-fishing.

Arlington Lakes: A series of three small lakes. Small rainbow trout. Recreation site - car top boat launch – camping - best fished in the spring or fall.
Buck Lake: Difficult access to this 25 ha lake. Recreation site - camping - car top boat launch. Rainbow trout.
Clark Lake: A small hike-in lake south of Joan Lake – small recreation sites – best fished in the summer months for rainbow trout.
Collier Lakes: Access is from Sago Creek Recreation site. Both lakes offer a recreation site with camping. Good fishing for rainbow or cutthroat trout. 
Conkle Lake: Accessible by a rough 2 WD road from either Highway #3 or Highway #33.  Good Rainbow fishing, up to 2 kg. Provincial Park for camping.  Electric motor only restriction. 
Copperkettle Lake: 3km hike in from the Christian Valley Road - rainbow trout - a rough campground.
Cup Lake: Rainbow trout - a car top boat launch - campground.  No motors allowed on the lake.
Joan Lake: Accessed by a short hike - recreation site – rainbow trout.
Hoodoo Lake: Accessible on the Taurus Lake Forest Service Road with 2 WD. Camping -car top launch – best fished spring or fall.
Lassie Lake: A large treed recreation site -car top boat launch – camping -1 kg rainbow.
Maloney Lake: A 2 km trail leads from Cup Lake - rainbow trout.
Matthews Lake: Quiet camping - recreation site at the base of Mt. Davis -small rainbow trout.
Nevertouch Lake: Easily accessible by 2 WD - recreation site - boat launch - picnicking.
Pete Lake: Reasonably good fishing - nice recreation site at the south end of the lake.
Sandrift Lakes: Three small lakes - small rainbow trout fishing.  Accessible on the State Lake Forest Service road a rough 2WD drive road - camping area. Best fishing in spring or fall.
State Lake: Fly fishing only - best fishing in early summer or fall. Hike-in lake ideal for the fly fisher – camping.
Taurus Lake: A car top boat launch, campground and picnic site - good fishing for up to 1 kg rainbow trout.
Thone Lake: Very good fly fishing for rainbow during the summer months. A recreation site - good access off Christian Valley road.
Saunier Lake: Offers a recreation site, with a car top boat launch and campground.  Best Fishing in spring and fall.
Solco Lake: Good trout fishing in summer months.  2WD access is available on the Solco Forest Service Road.
Williamson Lake: 4WD road off Christian Valley Road.  Rainbows that can reach 2 kg.  - recreation site - car top boat launch - campground. 

Greenwood Area
Jewel Lake: Jewel Lake home of therecord size rainbow trout 23 kg (52 lbs).  Good for rainbow and brook trout, up to 3 kg. Full facilities – large private resort and campground Jewel Lake Provincial Park.  Access is on a paved road.
Providence Lake: Created by a dam - a recreation site - car top boat launch - good fly fishing for trout.

Grand Forks Area
Wilgress Lake: Located on Highway #3, between Grand Forks and Greenwood - rainbow trout - rest area, picnic tables and a boat launch. 
Xenia Lake: Accessible from the Miller Creek Forest Service Road, by 4 WD vehicles - good fly-fishing for rainbow trout up to 1 kg - recreation sites are available along its route

Christina Lake Area
Christina Lake: Good fishing - bass, kokanee or trout. There are several campgrounds and motels that will accommodate visitors. Including the Gladstone Provincial Park/Texas Point campground. Boat rentals.

Larger Provincial Campgrounds
The campgrounds consist of Granby Park and the Gladstone Wilderness Area.
Fourteen recreation sites around Granby Park area include:
Granby-Burrell, Gable Creek, Eight Mile Flats, Howe Creek, Traverse Creek, Bluejoint Creek, St. Anne’s Meadow, State Creek, Damfino Creek, Sandy Bend, Kettle River Crossing, Mohr Creek, Winifred Creek Falls and Bruer Creek sites.

Nine sites around the Gladstone Park area include:
Texas Point, Deer Point, Starchuk Beach, Axel Johnson, Treadmill Creek, Parson Creek, Ole Johnson, Troy Creek and Xenia Lake sites.

Major trails in the Granby area include the Granby River, Franklin Creek-Johnston Creek, and Goatskin Creek trails. Trails in the Gladstone area include the Deer Point-Sandner Creek, Xenia Lake-Christina Lake, and Lynch Creek-Mt. Faith trails
